A self initiated project; Ximen in the Rain is digitally manipulated footage filmed through the window of a taxi in the Ximen district of Taipei. A particularly garish and noisy neighbourhood; neon lights glare down from above shops and night markets blare out pop music above the chatter of thousands of people; the sound and visuals try to capture the atmosphere which distorts into colourful patterns through the constant streams of monsoon rainstorms.
